動物機能形態学研究室

2012年12月より琉球大学農学部に赴任しました。
形態学 (morphology) は、生物の形や構造を記述し、その形成過程を研究する学問であり、解剖学と発生生物学の要素を内包するものです。機能形態学 (functional morphology) は、生体のある特定の機能について、その機能発現と構造との関わりを研究する学問であり、発生生物学・生理学の基盤となります。 当研究室では、胎仔（児）期の環境が出生後の成長と長期にわたる健康にどのように影響するのかを明らかにすべく、胎盤の形成機序と胎盤機能が仔（児）の成長、とくに骨格筋の発生に及ぼす影響の解明に、細胞・分子生物学的な手法も用いながら取り組んでいます。
